Magsig celebrates 100 years!

The building at 192 W. Franklin, which now houses Magsig Middle School, is celebrating 100 years! Students in grades 1-12 were welcomed into the new building in 1923.

The name of the building was changed from Washington Township School to Magsig Junior High in 1963 to honor Clarence W. Magsig, who served as a school board member from 1940-1956 during some of the district’s most rapid growth.

This photo of the building from the late 1930s was shared by Centerville-Washington History.
