Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with ideas, questions, or concerns.
One of the most important contributions you can make in support of the PTO is to volunteer some of your time. The help we provide allows us the opportunity to participate in our children's education in support of John Hole teachers and staff. Opportunities are available throughout the year to support fundraising events, but also to work directly with the students. You could volunteer as an academic volunteer, café monitor, IMC (library) assistant, homeroom parent or classroom helper.
We are respectful of your time and appreciate any amount of time you can give. To volunteer, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Open PTO Positions for 2019-20 School Year
Message from our Principal
On behalf of the students and staff of Dr. John Hole Elementary, I would like to welcome you to our school team. We are very lucky to have such a committed, supportive group of parents as a part of our PTO. The success of our school depends on the collaborative relationship between students, staff and parents. The Dr. John Hole PTO has always been a huge support to the students, school and school district through their dedication of time, effort and resources. I hope and encourage you to find ways to get involved with this fantastic Parent Teacher Organization.
How does the PTO support our school?
Throughout the school year, the John Hole PTO plans programs and events to raise funds to support the teachers, staff and school. Our primary events require many volunteers and your support and contributions make them successful.
Any money raised by the PTO is directly returned to the school and classroom teachers to positively influence the learning environment. Teachers have limited budgets for the extras that make classrooms fun and interactive. That is why our PTO solidly supports the financial investment in our teachers' ability to deliver more to our children!
Upcoming Events - Teacher Appreciation Week!
Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6th through May 10th! Let's show our teachers and staff how much we appreciate all they do for our children! The following are just suggestions of ways you can participate.
SUNDAY, MAY 5th (to be seen on MONDAY) - CHALK THANK YOU'S
We invite you to come to John Hole in the afternoon or evening of May 5th to decorate the front sidewalks with chalk drawings and thank you notes for our wonderful teachers/staff. The more colors and designs the better, for them to see when they come to school on Monday morning. We will provide some chalk, but feel free to bring some from home so we have plenty. If there is rain in the forecast, please check back here to see if we have rescheduled the event.
TUESDAY, MAY 7th - MESSAGES FROM STUDENTS
Encourage your student to bring a thank you message/drawing in for their teacher.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 8th - FLOWER DAY
Let's shower our teachers with flowers! Snip a single flower or a small bundle from your yard and send it in on Wednesday!
THURSDAY, MAY 9th - FAVORITE COLOR DAY
Encourage your student to wear their teacher's favorite color. See below for the colors!
FRIDAY, MAY 10th - MESSAGES FROM GUARDIANS
Guardians, please consider taking the time to write your child's teacher a note or email showing your appreciation for all they've done this year!
