PVS had the privilege to participate in an interactive presentation by Chris Rowlands, an Aullwood Outreach Naturalist. He shared information about some of the animals in our Ohio forests engaging the children through the use of artwork and music. His enthusiasm and humor touched our students as they participated in an interactive song about energy while learning about the basic needs of plants and the concept of photosynthesis.
He encouraged children to be kind to forest animals and to do their part to keep pollution to a minimum so that forests and wildlife will thrive in Ohio. He taught interesting facts about the caterpillar, vulture, and skunk through songs, puppetry, and costumes. His upbeat presentation and humorous comments energized the children.
