ParentSquare Support

ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent/guardian, using the email address and phone number on file in our student information system.

If you've received an invitation email or text to join ParentSquare, just click the link to activate your account. You can also use your email or phone number to set up your account without the invitation.

Please review your contact information at the start of each school year when you update your child's Returning Student Data. If your email address or phone number changes during the school year, please contact your child's school office or follow these instructions to update your contact information:

1. Log into the Home Access Center using your parent/guardian account.
2. Click on the Registration icon.
3. Scroll down to Contacts and click on the Edit button on the right side of the page.
4. Save your changes in HAC. They will automatically update in ParentSquare overnight.

Note: You will only have access to edit your own contact information. Any other parents/guardians will have to log into their own account to edit information.

Please check your spam folder to see if any ParentSquare messages ended up there, and mark them as "Not Spam." Also add donotreply@parentsquare.com and the numbers 36794, 60710, 66458, and 87366 to your contacts so your server recognizes our messages. If you still are not receiving emails, please contact support@parentsquare.com so they can assist you.

Please go to parentsquare.com and click "Forgot Password" on the login page. Put in your email or phone number, and you'll be sent a link to reset your password.

ParentSquare allows users to customize their notifications based on notification type and select their preferred delivery method for each school. Notification types include:

• Urgent Alerts & Notices (cannot be disabled)

• School Alerts

• General Announcements & Messages (posts only)

You can customize your notification settings by going to My Account and clicking Notification Settings. If you are receiving too many notifications, try switching to a Digest setting where you will only receive one condensed message in the evening. 

Change your notification settings on a computer:

1. Click on your name in the top right corner of the website.
2. Click on My Account.
3. Click on Notification Settings on the left side of the page.
4. Adjust your settings for email, text, and/or app notifications for district and school level announcements.

Change your notification settings on the mobile app:

1. Click the three bars at the top left of the app.
2. Click on Account.
3. Click on Notifications.
4. Adjust your settings for email, text, and/or app notifications for district and school level announcements.

To resubscribe to text messages, text START to 66458. This will reenable and resume sending text messages to your phone number. Please also ensure that this number is not being blocked or filtered out on your mobile device.

You can customize your language settings by going to My Account and clicking Language Settings. From here, you can choose any language you prefer from the drop-down menu and you will start to receive content in that language.

Change your language setting on a computer:

1. Click on your name on the top right corner of the website.
2. Click on My Account.
3. Click on Language Settings on the left side of the page.
4. Choose your language from the drop-down menu.
5. Click Save.

Change your language setting on the mobile app:

1. Click the three bars at the top left of the app.
2. Click on Account.
3. Click on Preferences.
4. Click on Language.
5. Choose your language. It will save automatically.

Contact your child's teacher privately by using ParentSquare's direct messaging tool. On the home page, click on Messages in the left sidebar. From here, you can send a direct message to your child's teacher that only you and the teacher can see. You can also send messages to other staff members at the school, such as your child's coaches and club leaders.

Yes. The first time you log into the ParentSquare app or web portal, all of your students should automatically be listed in your account. If you don’t see them, please contact your school office.

Users should be able to see all of their children and schools in one ParentSquare account. If you are missing a child/school, it may be because you have more than one ParentSquare account with different contact information, or your contact information is inconsistent across our student information system. Please contact your children's schools to confirm your contact information is correct and consistent at all schools.

Sometimes users will need to merge accounts. For example, parents with more than one child might have multiple accounts because their contact information didn’t match exactly (name, email, phone). Many staff members are also parents and could have a staff account and a personal parent account. Follow these directions to combine your accounts so everything is in one place:

Merge accounts on a web browser:

1. Log in to your main ParentSquare account.
2. Click your name in upper right and select My Account.
3. Click Combine with another account.
4. If there are any accounts matching your verified email(s) or phone(s), a page with recommended users will appear.
5. Click Combine Accounts, confirm any additional contacts on the account, and click Combine Accounts. If you do not see the account you want to combine, click combine another account.
6. Log in to your other ParentSquare account.
7. Select name to use on your account and click Combine Accounts.
8. Your accounts are now combined. The next time you login to ParentSquare, you will be able to access your account using any* of the associated email addresses or phone numbers on your combined account. *Note: Staff must sign in with the email or phone number associated with their staff account.

Merging accounts on the ParentSquare mobile app:

1. Log in to your main ParentSquare account. Note: Staff must log in with the email or phone number associated with their staff account.
2. Tap menu in upper left, select Account, then Combine Accounts.
3. Sign in to your other ParentSquare account.
4. Select name to use on your account and click Combine Accounts.
5. Your accounts are now combined. The next time you login to ParentSquare, you will be able to access your account using any* of the associated email addresses or phone numbers on your combined account. *Note: Staff must sign in with the email or phone number associated with their staff account.

Sometimes, parents/guardians accidentally link their accounts, or if you share an email address or phone number, the accounts link automatically. We can help you create two separate accounts, if needed. Please send both of your names, email addresses, and phone numbers to the Community Relations Specialist.

Yes, students in grades 6-12 have access to StudentSquare so they can receive announcements from their school, teachers, and/or extracurricular activities. If you have a student in grades 6-12, help them sign up for StudentSquare by following these instructions.

If you are a parent/guardian of a current student in Centerville City Schools and you do not wish to receive updates from your child's teacher, school, or the district, you will need to turn off all email, text, and app notifications in your notification settings. Please see the instructions under "How can I receive fewer notifications?"

If you are not a parent/guardian and you are mistakenly receiving messages, please contact the Community Relations Specialist and provide the email address and/or phone number that needs to be removed.

Centerville Schools may send information specific to your student through ParentSquare's Secure Document delivery. This could include state test scores, class placement, and education plans. You can view documents related to your child quickly from the web browser or from the app. You can also click the link provided in an email, text, or app notification. 

Viewing a Secure Document on a web browser:

1. Log in to your ParentSquare account with your email address or phone number. 

2. From Home, select Alerts and Notices on the left, then select the Document tab.

3. Locate the document you want to view and click View Document to open the PDF.

4. Sign in again to verify your identity and view the document.

Viewing a Secure Document on the ParentSquare mobile app:

1. Log in to your ParentSquare account with your email address or phone number. 

2. On the bottom tool bar, select Alerts. 

3. Locate the document you want to view and click View Document. Secure document notices are marked by a page with lock icon.

4. Sign in again to securely view the selected document.
    

Members of the Centerville-Washington Township community are invited to join a variety of community groups on ParentSquare to receive information about district activities.

As a guest on ParentSquare, you may view posts sent from the district to families of our students when guests are selected as recipients. You will not receive School Alerts or Urgent Alerts -- what we send in the event of weather delays, sudden closures, or emergencies -- as the platform is set up to alert families only.
