Kindergarten
We are excited to welcome your family to kindergarten at Centerville City Schools, where we are committed to empowering, challenging and supporting every learner to grow every day!
Kindergarten at Centerville City Schools is housed in two buildings, Primary Village North and Primary Village South. In our district, which serves more than 8,200 students in Centerville and Washington Township in Southwest Ohio, each school is composed of preschool, kindergarten and first grade students. Our staff is passionate about working with our youngest learners in a very authentic manner.

Determining your school:
To determine whether your child would attend Primary Village North (PVN), 6450 Marshall Road, or Primary Village South (PVS), 8388 Paragon Road, click here to see the district map, or call the Transportation Department at 937-885-7776.
Schedule:
The schedule for kindergarten at each building is the same:
Doors open at 8:00 a.m. for the AM sessions and 11:50 a.m. for the PM sessions
AM Kindergarten: 8:10 a.m. - 10:50 a.m.
PM Kindergarten: 11:55 a.m. - 2:35 p.m.
Kindergarten Registration:
Registration for Kindergarten opens in the month of March prior to each school year. When it is time to register you will do so on the New Student Enrollment Page. Below are the items you will need to gather in order to register.
The following documents are REQUIRED.
You will need to UPLOAD them to complete your online enrollment:
1. Driver's license or state-issued photo identification for the individual who is enrolling the student
2. Student's certified birth certificate
- Students must be five years old by the first day of school to be eligible for kindergarten.
- Please view the most updated and approved district calendar.
3. Immunization records (dates student's immunizations were administered)
- You may turn in updated immunization records to your child's school office even after completing the initial enrollment packet.
4. Proof of residency that you reside in Centerville City School district
- Mortgage papers, property tax bill, copy of deed, or documentation from the Montgomery County Auditor's website (utility bills are NOT accepted)
- Current signed lease with landlord's name, address, and telephone number
- House under construction or purchase agreement
- Residence Affidavit (if living with another person or subleasing)
5. Proof of custody (if applicable)
- Complete copy of custody papers (in cases of legal separation or divorce, the parent who is enrolling the student must present a court-ordered custody agreement that indicates the parent enrolling the student is the residential custodian)
- Complete copy of court order in the event of a student being court placed with a non-parent (foster placement, relative placement, etc.)
6. Individual Educational Plan (IEP) and Evaluation Team Report (ETR) (if applicable)
