Please notify your child's school if they will be absent. Contact information for each school office can be found on our Contact Us page or by navigating to your child's school on ParentSquare and sending a direct message to the school or unit secretary.

Examples of excused absences in Centerville include absences covered by a doctor’s note, death/dying of a family member, trips out of the country or vacations approved by the principal, religious holidays, and call-in absences due to illness up to seven days. Please submit a meal assistance application through our meal payment portal, LINQConnect.com, for the current school year. Click on the “Start Meal Application” button and follow the instructions.

Paper applications are also available from your child’s school office.

Information about homeschooling in Ohio is available on the Ohio Department of Education website. Parents interested in educating their children at home must complete the Home Education Notification Form and return it to Tammy Drerup, Director of Student Services, at tammy.drerup@centerville.k12.oh.us. A list of frequently asked questions about homeschooling is also available on the ODE website.

Request to Distribute Materials to Centerville Families

IMPORTANT: An Emergency Medical Authorization must be completed each year. This is part of the Returning Student Data for current Centerville students or the New Student Enrollment for new students. Please follow these instructions to update your child's Returning Student Data before Aug. 14, 2024:

1. Log into the Home Access Center. You must login using the parent/guardian's account (not the student's account).
2. Click on the Registration icon at the top of the page.
3. Click on the Update Enrollment tab.
4. Look for the 2024-2025 Returning Student Data Update. If there is a link to Edit, we still need your child’s information for the upcoming school year. If the link says View, you have already submitted the information for the 2024-25 school year.

In order to purchase a parking pass, students must first complete the Google Form application linked below. The cost of the parking pass is $35 (cash or check payable to Centerville City Schools). Students must present a valid driver's license in order to purchase a pass.

Prior to school starting, parking passes may be purchased from the CHS Central Unit Office between 8 a.m.-2 p.m. on Aug. 8-9 and between 8 a.m.-3 p.m. on Aug. 13. Once school begins, passes may be purchased before or after school and during lunch from the bookkeeper (office in hallway behind CHS Central Unit Office).
