Visit our District Calendars page to access the academic calendar as well as school and athletic calendars. A filter tool is available to select which calendars you’d like to view.
You can also view district and school calendars by logging into ParentSquare and clicking on Explore > Calendars.
Each school is responsible for inputting their own events.
How do I update my home address?
Prior to the start of school, you can download the Change of Address form and return your complete form to the Board of Education Office at 111 Virginia Ave., Centerville, OH 45458. Once school begins, please work with your child’s school office on address changes.
UPDATED: I’m not sure if my telephone number is correct to receive calls or texts from the district. How do I check my number?
Centerville City Schools uses ParentSquare for district and school communication. Email, text and/or app notifications allow us to contact our school community within minutes. ParentSquare is replacing all other communication apps and tools being used in the district.
ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent, using your preferred email address and phone number that should be checked each year when you update your child's Student Registration Forms. Parents are encouraged to activate their ParentSquare account so you can download the mobile app and update your preferences on when and how you are notified. When you activate your account, you will be asked to confirm your email address and phone number.
How can I stay connected to Centerville Schools throughout the year?
We communicate with our families and staff members through our website, ParentSquare and social media. Individual schools and teachers will communicate through ParentSquare and Google Classroom (depending on grade level).
You can also bookmark Centerville’s website to view district and school news, calendars, forms, social media highlights and more.
Be sure to read the district’s e-newsletter, which is sent through ParentSquare to all parents/guardians each week during the school year.
Follow Centerville City Schools on Facebook and Instagram or search for the district hashtag #ElkPride to receive daily updates on important announcements, upcoming events, photos, videos, news stories and more.
If you have additional questions, please contact your school’s main office or the Board Office at 937-433-8841.

What is Home Access Center and how do I access it?
The Home Access Center (HAC) is an online portal for parents and students to access information such as emergency info and contacts, bus routes, attendance, fees, scheduled courses and teachers, grades and report cards.
Now is a great time to make sure you can access HAC so you are able to see teacher assignments, bus route information, pay student fees and see progress reports when they are available online.
Teacher assignments, bus route information and the option to pay student fees online will be available on HAC. Parents should use their existing log-in information to view the information.
If your family is new to Centerville Schools or has never set up a HAC account, you will need to wait until after July 22 to set up your account. Use the link above, then scroll down toward the bottom of the page where you will see a link labeled "Click Here to Register for HAC." In order for this process to work, you must have a valid email address on record. You will need to register using the first/last name, city and zip code for the parent/guardian. These values must match exactly what was submitted at the time of enrollment.
If you need any assistance with logging into your account, please email: hac@centerville.k12.oh.us

The district is using an online payment system called PaySchools for families that wish to pay student fees online using a credit card. If you have not already done so, you will need to create a new account by visiting www.payschoolscentral.com and clicking on Register, entering your profile details, setting up your password via the email link that PaySchools sends to you, then logging in. Please note that you will need your child’s student ID number to complete the registration process.
You can create your new account at any time, and your child’s fees will automatically show up when they are assigned. Once you see that fees are due, you can follow the payment instructions on the PaySchools website. You can enter your credit card and/or banking information to use with your account or use guest checkout.
In addition to paying student fees, families will also be able to pay fees for athletic and co-curricular activities using PaySchools.
A PaySchools Central app is also available on the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Those who do not wish to pay fees online may submit their payment to their child’s school office. If you have questions about fees, please contact your child’s school.

What transportation forms do I need to complete for my child?
Grades PreK-1: All students must have a Transportation Form on file with their school, whether they are riding a school bus or using alternate transportation. Click here to download the Transportation Form.
Grades 2-8: All students will automatically be routed to and from their home address, unless your child did not ride the bus or had a Transportation Form on file from the previous school year. If your child is opting out of bus services or will be served by a childcare provider at an address other than your home during the 2022-23 school year, you must complete a NEW Transportation Form and return it to your child’s school. If your child had alternate transportation last school year, and will now be riding the bus to and/or from school, please contact the Transportation Department at 937-885-7776 to make sure your routing information is correct. Click here to download the Transportation Form.
Grades 9-12: A transportation survey for high school students is part of the Returning Student Information Form that you complete through the Home Access Center. If you need to change your student's transportation information during the school year, please contact the Transportation Department.
Please note that transportation changes will not be guaranteed between Aug. 10-Sept. 2, and there will be no changes made on Aug. 16-17.
How do I communicate a change in my child’s transportation arrangements?
For long-term changes to transportation arrangements during the school year, please complete a new Transportation Form and return it to your child’s school.
For temporary changes (less than two weeks) to transportation arrangements, such as your child riding a different bus after school, please complete the Temporary Transportation Form and return it to your child’s school as needed.
Calendars for transportation will no longer be accepted; you must complete the appropriate form.
If you have any questions, please contact the Transportation Department at 937-885-7776.

How do I find breakfast and lunch menus?
Breakfast and lunch menus are available on the Student Nutrition Services website. The site includes interactive menus that have nutrition and allergen information as well as information about applying for free and reduced price school meals.
How do I add money to my student’s meal account?
Just a reminder that the district began using Titan School Solutions for online meal payments during the 2020-21 school year, which replaced the MyPayments Plus system. Any funds that remained on your student’s account in the MyPayments Plus system were transferred to Titan School Solutions.
If you have not already done so, please visit https://family.titank12.com and make a new account in order to continue making payments towards your students' meals and a la carte items. You may also submit a meal assistance application through Titan School Solutions for the current school year. Click on "Sign up today!" to begin the process of making a new account and be sure to have the following information to successfully link your student(s) to your account: First Name, Last Name, Grade, School and Date of Birth.
For further questions, please call our Student Nutrition Services Department at 937-433-8841 or the support line for Titan School Solutions at 916-467-4700 option 2.
Will free meals still be available to all students during the 2022-23 school year?
The waiver that allowed schools to serve free meals expired at the end of last school year. This means universal free school meals will not be available during the 2022-23 school year. If your family might qualify for free or reduced priced meals, please be sure to complete the application (see below).
How do we apply for free/reduced meals?
Please submit a meal assistance application through Titan School Solutions for the current school year. Click on the “Apply For Meals Today” button and follow the instructions. Paper applications are available on the Student Nutrition Services website or at your child’s school.
Health & Wellness
- If my child must take medication at school, how should I deliver the medication and care plan to the school nurse?

- If my child tests positive for COVID-19, do I still need to report it to the school?
- When should I keep my child home from school?

If my child must take medication at school, how should I deliver the medication and care plan to the school nurse?
Please contact the school nurse in your child’s building for further instructions.
What vaccinations should my child have?
All grade levels: Students in all grade levels are required by the Ohio Department of Health to have the required immunizations for school attendance. The state does not require a COVID-19 vaccination at this time.
For incoming seventh graders: If your child will be in the seventh grade this school year, the Ohio Department of Health requires two vaccinations in addition to those your child received prior to school entry: 1) Tdap booster vaccine within the past five years (2017 or later) and 2) Meningococcal vaccine BEFORE the first day of school. If your student has had one dose of this vaccine at any time AFTER age 10 and prior to this school year, this requirement has been met. If you have questions, please contact the school nurse at your child’s middle school. Click here to download the seventh grade vaccination form.
For incoming seniors: Students now must be vaccinated against meningococcal disease (MCV4) prior to entering their 12th grade school year. If the first dose of meningococcal was given on or after the student's 16th birthday, the second dose is not required for his/her senior year. Students who have received these vaccines should immediately turn in their immunization record to the school clinic. Records can be submitted by email, fax, mail or brought to CHS Central Unit or CHS clinic. If you have questions, please contact the school nurse at CHS.
Waivers: The state of Ohio does allow for a parental waiver for those who choose to not vaccinate their children, and a medical waiver for those children who cannot safely be vaccinated due to medical conditions. Click here to download the waiver form for the 2022-23 school year.
If my child tests positive for COVID-19, do I still need to report it to the school?
When should I keep my child home from school?
Please keep your child home if they have any symptoms of COVID-19, flu or any other illness, which could include congestion or runny nose, sore throat, headache, cough, fever or chills, shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, loss of taste or smell, nausea or vomiting, and/or diarrhea.
Our school nurses also shared that the American Academy of Pediatrics’ recommends keeping children home from school for the following reasons:
- A temperature 100.4 degrees or above is generally recognized as a fever. Whether or not the student should attend with a temperature less than 100.4 degrees should include the student’s overall health status and other symptoms. Students must be fever-free for 24 hours without the assistance of medication before returning to school.
- They cannot participate comfortably in activities and/or pose a significant risk to themselves or others.
- Their condition results in a need for care that is greater than staff members can provide without compromising the health and safety of other students.
- They pose a risk of spreading harmful disease to others.
- Some illnesses/injuries may justify exclusion from school until cleared by a healthcare provider (e.g. a student returning to school after surgery).
How can I help protect my family and the community from illness?
Prevention is a key strategy with any illness, such as influenza or COVID-19, so it is important to both protect yourself and take measures against spread to others. The CDC recommends these everyday actions to help prevent the spread of viruses:
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after touching any frequently used item or surface. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Stay home when you are sick. Do not go to work or school.
- Sneeze or cough into a tissue or the inside of your elbow.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick, especially if you are an older person or someone with a serious underlying health condition.
- Disinfect frequently used items and surfaces as much as possible.
- Get a flu vaccine.
- Pick up your child promptly should they become ill during the school day.
