Business Operations

The Business Operations Department cares for 15 facilities, totaling 1.3 million square feet of building space and about 300 acres of grounds. They support students and staff by ensuring a safe and effective learning environment -- working hard to make repairs, replace equipment, and carry out a preventative maintenance program to keep facilities running smoothly.

The business office manages district-wide purchasing and oversees maintenance/custodial, transportation, and food service operations. It also manages the permanent improvement budget, facility planning, renovations, and construction to ensure a safe and effective learning environment for students and staff. The Director of Business Operations plays a key role in budgeting, monitors financial accounts, and implements cost-saving programs to optimize resources.

Centerville City Schools is part of the Southwestern Ohio Educational Purchasing Council, which includes over 260 school districts. This membership leverages group buying power to save on items like supplies, furniture, food, vehicles, utilities, and insurance.
