News for April 4, 2021 Pictured Above: Mrs. Matthews' and Mrs. Tsatalis' kindergarten classes took a nature walk and made sight words with the items they found. We are so very grateful for warmer temperatures and sunnier skies so that we can utilize the beautiful PVN gardens and grounds for outdoor learning this spring!
Dear PVN families,
We hope you had a wonderful Spring Break. We look forward to seeing the children tomorrow, Monday, April 5th!
April and May are always very busy months at PVN. We are gearing up for our one and only school wide 2020-21 PTO fundraiser, the Rev Up, Run and Read. Lots of information will be coming home this week about how your family and friends can support PVN.
At the end of April/beginning of May we welcome our 2021-22 kindergartners for Kindergarten Screening. If you know of any children who turns five prior to Sept. 30th 2021, please check to make sure they are registered for school for next year! Also, we are encouraging early registration for any children that might be registering for first grade for next school year. Firming up new enrollees will allow us to better plan for next school year so help us by talking to your extended family, neighbors and friends and encourage them to check our website or call our office for more information!
We are also working through the details of what some of the end of the year traditional PVN events will look like while keeping Covid-19 protocols in mind. We will share the details as they become clearer. Unfortunately, Lifetouch could not provide a yearbook for us that would be available for delivery yet this school year. Also, we will not be able to travel within the school day for first grade home school visits as we have in the past. Elementary Schools are working on some other alternatives yet this spring to make the transition from first to second grades as smooth and as safe as possible. Please know, we are all working hard to make the end of a very unique school year year very, very special!
Thank you and have a wonderful week! Mindy Cline
From Mrs. Mahaffey:
Art to Remember: You should have received your child's order form for Art to Remember! What a great opportunity to put your child(s) art on a special keepsake! You can order on the Art to Remember website using your child's class code from the order form. If you don't have the order form you can also search by your child's name and order. A portion of the funds go back to the art studio for special project supplies as well as classroom materials.
Art to Remember online orders are due by Thursday, April 8th. Products should arrive just in time for Mother's Day! You can choose to have products shipped to your home or to PVN.
If you have any questions email: jackie.mahaffey@centerville.k12.oh.us
