News for January 14 2021 FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Return to In-person learning on Tuesday, January 19th.
Library Books We have a number of overdue library books. Please have your child locate these and bring them back to school on Tuesday! Remote students can drop off books in the gray bin on the porch.
Health Protocols A reminder...If your child is exhibiting any signs of illness or Covid symptoms, please keep them home. They can Zoom into their classes until they feel better. Please click here to review the daily health checklist and health protocols.
Parent Pickup Construction in front of the building has paused for the winter. You will notice white line markings on our front driveway. Please disregard these lines, they are for our socially distanced walking track. They are not parking guides. We will be having parents text their child and dismissing students in the same manner as before.
Remote Learner Verification.
This is to remind you to let the school know if you are changing your child to in-person learning.
We also need to know if any in-person students are switching to remote learning. We are working hard to create seating charts/ social distance and having a firm count of who will be in the building will be necessary.
Block Schedules Updated Please click here for the schedules. These schedules will be used beginning January 19th. Remote learners will follow these schedules and Zoom into classrooms. Wednesday schedule remains the same. Remote Learners, please notice the lunch change on A Day!
In-person students will attend school on Monday(A day), Tuesday(B day), Thursday(A day), and Friday(B day). All students will ZOOM from home on Wednesdays.
Back to School Reminders 1. Students are required to wear a mask while in the building. Make sure they pack a backup in case one breaks. 2. Pack a refillable water bottle. Drinking fountains are still off limits. We have refillable water bottle stations for them to use. 3. Make sure your child charges their Chrome book nightly and pack the charger. 4. The building will be on the cool side, wear layers. 5. For those students who have P.E. this rotation...they should wear their gym shoes/clothes on P.E. day. The locker rooms are closed for changing clothes. 6. We will continue to not use lockers. Please keep that in mind when packing the back pack. They will carry it with them throughout the day.

FUNDRAISERS
CHS Spirit Chain
Hi there! I'm Reese Clark, student council president at Centerville High School, and am reaching out to communicate our intentions and wishes regarding Spirit Chain: our annual charity fundraiser competition against Fairmont. With all of the uncertainties constantly forestalling our progress, we have decided to push back our final collection day to February 5th, meaning we have until then to raise money. We decided it was appropriate to sponsor two local charities this year, and would love your support in any way possible. First, we decided to raise money for Food 2 Go: providing for students in our district directly. Second, we are sponsoring a local free health clinic struggling through this pandemic: Open Arms Health Clinic. We would love your support in anyway possible! We would love to see the fundraiser implemented around the entire district! Please click here to access our Go Fund Me page. Thank you so much, Go Elks!!
