News for Oct. 14, 2020 FROM THE PRINCIPAL
WELCOME BACK! Tomorrow is the first day for students to be in person! We are very excited to see everyone! We will welcome students with the last name A-K tomorrow and students with the last name L-Z on Friday. Students will report to their first period class upon arrival. Our Remote Leaners will not be Zooming but should still check their Google Classroom for assignments.
Traffic Pattern Centerville Police Safety Message
Please view this video that explains the traffic pattern and conditions we will be experiencing due to road construction in front of Magsig.
If you plan to drop your child off expect long lines and wait time. Please be patient with us. More drop off and pick up details can be found below.
Parent Early Pick Up and Dropping Off Items
If you need to pick up your child early for an appointment, please stay in your car and call the school. We will get your child out of class and send them out to you. If you are returning a child to school following an appointment, you can just drop them off with their note.
If your child has forgotten items that you need to bring to the school, their will be a table on the porch with sticky notes. Please label the items and leave them on the table. Ring the bell, and someone will come out to retrieve the items.
Student Information Sheets
Each year, our schools ask parents/guardians to update the student information we have on record. This year we are completing this process online, and parents/guardians should receive an email this week from our Technology Department (sender is notify@centerville.k12.oh.us). Please check your child's information carefully and update phone numbers, email addresses, emergency contacts and more.
It is very important that we have this updated information as soon as possible. If you have any trouble accessing or filling out the form, please call the school and we can help.
The End Of First Quarter
Starting Monday, October 19th, remote learners will follow the new block schedule listed below. They will ZOOM at the beginning of each class period as before. The length of the session will be determined by the teacher. Please think through your travel plans when deciding whether or not to drive your child to school. The construction that is happening in front of the school is not projected to be finished until late Nov and will impact parent drop off and pick up. If your child spends less than 15 minutes on the bus, that would not be considered an exposure risk. We will be unloading busses as soon as they arrive so students will not be sitting on the bus in our lot.
Drop Off Updated!
Students who currently have school issued chrome books should bring the chrome book(fully charged) and the charger and earbuds to school. Students who do not have school devices will be issued one when they return to school. More guidance will be out soon regarding those who are currently without school devices.
