Elks Back to School Update - Aug. 20, 2020 Just a reminder that the first day of remote learning for K-12 students is Monday, Aug. 24, and preschool begins on Wednesday, Aug. 26! We will remain in the remote learning environment through at least the first quarter, which ends on Friday, Oct. 16.
Getting ready for remote learning: You've set up a work area for your child, gathered school supplies and picked up materials from your child's school … now what?
Student material pick-up: Staff members at our schools have been working hard to prepare materials for families to pick up this week. If you requested a Chromebook or hotspot, those items will be included when you pick up your child's materials at their school. There will be additional instructions and log-in information included in as well. Each school sent out emails with dates and times for their material pick-up. If you still need that information, you can see archived messages by visiting the district website, clicking on your school name and then on your school's announcements page.
Students must have valid student ID numbers or full names for all meals that they pick up. Only students currently enrolled in Centerville Schools will be able to receive meals. One member of each house may pick up all meals as long as valid ID numbers for all meals picked up are provided. We will accept cash, but no change will be given. All money given for meals will be deposited into students' accounts. (This is to limit contact between students and staff). Students who are required to pay for meals, must have money on their account or money in hand to pay for their meals. To add money to student's accounts, please visit https://family.titank12.com.
More News from Centerville Schools Board of Education meeting to be held remotely The Centerville Board of Education will hold a virtual meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 24. More information will be shared on the Board of Education web page.
