Tuesday, December 10, 2019 LUNCHES FOR THE HOMELESS: Our next Lunches for the Homeless day will be Wednesday, December 11th. Please bring the lunches to the front desk by 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 11th, and we will get them to St. Vincent De Paul. Here are the guidelines St. Vincent's sent us for what to include with each lunch: Bag lunch requirements: · One hearty meat sandwich: 2 ounces of meat on bread without condiments (condiment packets may be placed in bag, but are not required) · A drink: small bottled water, juice box, or Gatorade · 2 snacks: a salty snack and a sweet snack or a piece of fruit · Date: Every bag must be dated with the date it was prepared LIBRARY TO HOST EVENT WITH CYBERSECURITY TIPS FOR PARENTS AND STUDENTS: The Center for Cyber Safety and Education will have a top cybersecurity expert present a program at the Centerville Library this evening from 6:30-8 p.m. The program's goal is to empower students, teachers and parents to secure their online life through education on cyberbullying, shopping, and social media. The House of Bread provides a hot, nutritious lunchtime meal to anyone in need 7 days a week. The House of Bread also distributes supplies (clothing, shoes, hygiene items, etc.) to people in need. A donation box will be located at the front desk from until December 13, 2019. Please clean/launder any gently used items. House of Bread Wish List: *Sleeping bags and blankets. *Heavy socks for children, men, and women. *Hats, gloves, and scarfs. *Boots/heavy shoes—especially men's sizes 9 through 12. *Bus passes. Hygiene Items: *Small packs of toothpaste *Razors and shaving cream. *Chapstick. *Toilet paper. Children's Items: *Baby wipes and diapers, sizes 2 to 6. *Stuffed animals—new please *Coloring books and reading books. *Hot Wheels cars. A Lindsey's Law form All paperwork must be turned in at the Centerville HS Athletic Office by January 6 if your child is planning to participate in the indoor training sessions (more info below) so that it may be checked for all required signatures and dates.
