Service Project Night:
Please join us on Wednesday, November 13th for Service Project Night at John Hole Elementary. The event will take place from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Families can come and go any time during the event. Stations will be set up with service projects that families can complete together. All service projects will benefit local charities including Blue Star Mothers of Dayton, St. Vincent de Paul, and East End Community Center.
One of the projects will include collecting new and gently used books to donate to St. Vincent de Paul for "The Book Roost". This is part of St. Vincent de Paul's retail stores in Dayton and helps them grow and raise more funds to help our neighbors in need. Books can be dropped off at school by the office through November 13th or brought to Service Project Night.
We hope to see you at Service Project Night. Come and enjoy spending time with your family while helping others in our community!
Extra Candy Donation for Service Project Night:
Did you get a lot of candy from Halloween and have extra to share? Maybe you got some candy that isn't your favorite or have extra candy that didn't get passed out? If you did, you can donate it to John Hole's Service Project Night. The candy will be used in treat bags that will be put together for various local causes. Candy will be collected through Wednesday, November 13th and can be turned in to the box by the office. Thank you!
Lost and Found Reminder:
We still have quite a few items in our lost and found, and now that the weather is turning colder, we expect that our collection of hats, gloves, and even coats will grow. In an effort to lessen the number of left behind items, we ask that you make sure your child's name is written on their cold weather gear (and lunch boxes and water bottles too!). Items left in the lost and found are eventually donated to Goodwill, so if you are noticing something lost ask your student to check the Lost and Found area. Parents are also welcome to sign in at the office and go down and look through the items.
If you have any questions, please call the school office at 434-0725.
School Store Volunteer needed!!:
We are in need of a volunteer to run the School Store from mid November through February. As you most likely already know from your student(s), our school store is very popular among them! If you are interested in helping, please email the PTO at johnholepto@gmail.com.
Thank you!
