News for Sept. 15, 2019 Pictured Above: Mrs. Cline reads to Mrs. Maloney's first grade class. I made the rounds through each and every classroom (Preschool through first grade) to read a book about bullying and to discuss what to do if you ever encounter a bully. We talked about walking away/ignoring the bully, standing up for your self/asking them to stop and getting help from a trusted adult (parent, teacher, coach, etc...).
Dear PVN parents,
As shared earlier in the week, we had amazing ceremonies to celebrate our Everyday Heroes on 9/11. See a few more pictures below. Tuesday we will practice safety (ALICE drills). The children will simply be told to follow the teacher's directions. Teachers will read the safety scenario on their computer and then direct the children to either evacuate the building or shelter in place (depending on details shared in the scenario).
SAVE THE DATE: Friday, September 27th is PVN/S Night at the Centerville Elks Football Game. Get dressed in your black and gold and join us in the section marked off for PVN/PVS. With a few minutes left in the first half, there will be an announcement for PVN/S to meet down near the locker rooms and we will walk across the track as the future elks are introduced. A flyer will be coming home tomorrow with all the details! This is a supr fun night! Please join us!!!
