In middle school, girls face social pressures and conflicting messages about how they should act and who they should be. Heart & Sole believes that every girl is inherently full of power and potential. By knowing they are the leaders of their lives, these are the girls who will change the world!! During practices, we will lead girls through research-based curricula including dynamic discussions, activities, and running games. Over this ten-week program, girls will develop essential skills to help them navigate in the world and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. At the end of the season, we will celebrate as a team with a 5K event! Heart & Sole is open to any 6th, 7th, or 8th-grade girl. We will practice two times per week on Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00-5:30 PM. Feel free to contact Morgan Ayers at morgan.ayers@centerville.k12.oh.us if you have any questions or visit gotrdayton.org to find more information. PARENTS OF ALL CURRENT 7TH GRADERS: Tdap Booster Vaccination- If your son or daughter is a current 7th grade student, he or she MUST have two vaccines required by the Ohio Department of Health
1. Tdap booster vaccine within the past five years (2014 or later) BEFORE the first day of school. 8/14/19
2. Meningococcal vaccine one dose BEFORE the first day of school 8/14/19. If your student received this dose at any time before 8/14/19, the requirement has been met
These are requirements of the Ohio Department of Health. We know from past years that most of our current 6th graders have had the Tdap booster so all we need is the immunization date. The meningococcal vaccine is a relatively new requirement.
Attached is a form for you to complete, as well as a listing of immunization options.
Letters were mailed to 6th grade families in the spring with reminders. This information was due by the first day of school, August 14, 2019. If you have not submitted the updated vaccination record or a waiver, it is past due. Please feel free to contact me at (937) 434-0370 with any questions. Melissa Becker, RN, BSN – Licensed School Nurse
