NEWS & NOTIFICATIONS
PARKING PASSES: Parking passes will be sold during 4th and 5th lunches until Sept 6th. After that date they will be sold only on Thursday mornings from 7:30-7:50. Students will not be permitted to park in the student lot without a pass.
ACTIVITY PASSES: Activity passes will also be sold during 4th & 5th lunches. Last day to purchase is Friday, Sept. 6th.
STUDENT COUNCIL: If you are interested in running for Student Council, please pick up a petition in the Central Unit Office. Petitions are due at the mandatory meeting for candidates on August 22 in the West Commons at 7:50 AM. Any questions? Please see Mr. Dalton in West 228.
FORTE SHOW: Come and join Forte and a cappella groups from Ohio and Michigan as they compete for a chance to go to Carnegie Hall and win $25,000. Forte is hosting the event and this will be a great chance to get an early glimpse at this years group! Click here for more information. Students get in free.

BOYS SOCCER: Boys Soccer is excited about the upcoming season, looking to defend its GWOC Boys Soccer is excited about the upcoming season, looking to defend its GWOC East Division Championship and playing against many of the best teams in Southwest Ohio. On THURSDAY, Boys Soccer Varsity and JVA host the Troy Christian Eagles at Alumni Stadium for their final preseason scrimmages. JVA kicks off at 5:30 p.m., followed by Varsity at 7:15 p.m. Admission is free. On SATURDAY, Boys Soccer Varsity and JVA travel to Lakota West High School to take on the Firebirds for a set of afternoon games. JVA kicks off at 1:00 p.m., followed by Varsity at 3:00 p.m. Lakota West is a quality opponent who will be seeking payback for last year's dominant Elk victory. The weather forecast is 90 degrees and sunshine, so wear your sunglasses and don't forget to bring lots of sunscreen. Lakota West High School is located at 8940 Union Centre Blvd, West Chester, OH 45069.
BOYS GOLF, GOLD: On August 8th, the Boys Varsity Gold Golf team took first place at the Troy Invitational Tournament with a score of 287. There were 12 other teams. Cherubini had a low of 66, followed by Owen with 72, Backus 73, Hinkle 75, Harker 76, and Mosali 82.

GEM CITY CREW: ATTENTION: STUDENTS AGES 8-22 "We Want YOU to Join Crew!" Try rowing this summer and get in the best shape of your life! No experience necessary; our experienced coaches will teach and train you. Rowing grants the highest percentage of college scholarships for male and female students. Gem City Crew is Dayton's ONLY ALL-YOUTH Rowing team and offers programs for ages 8-22. We are conveniently located near I-75 and I-675 just minutes from the Austin Landing exit. QUESTIONS?
