AP GOV: Anyone planning to take AP Government next year should stop by W232 to get your summer assignment.

BEST SEATS IN THE HOUSE: The CHS PTO is once again partnering with the Americana Festival Committee to sponsor "Best Seats in the House." Reserved tables are available on the track at the CHS football stadium for the 2019 fireworks display, scheduled for Wednesday, July 3rd. As always, bleacher seats are free. For additional details, please go to the CHS homepage, click on "downloads" (right side of the page"), then click on "Americana Fireworks Tables." LOST & FOUND: Students and parents: As the school year comes to a close, please check your lockers and closets at home to see if you are missing anything. Then check the lost and found areas in each unit, the library, the Fishbowl/computer lab, and the custodian's hallway by the Back of Central. There are many articles of clothing, jackets, keys, lanyards, lunch pack items, water bottles, TEXTBOOKS, calculators, earbuds, etc., that need to be claimed! Anything left at the end of the year will be discarded. Thank you!
AP TEST MATERIALS: Finished studying for your AP tests? Don't throw your AP test prep books away! Please consider donating them to the Academic Volunteer Program, so that students next year can benefit from them. Bring your books to the Central desk. Good luck on your AP's this week!

BOY'S VOLLEYBALL: Varsity's postseason ended with a 3-1 loss to Fairmont. Stat leaders were Clay DeVilbiss with 9 kills and 4 blocks, Ethan Stuart with 9 kills, Chris Sucato with 8 kills and 3 aces, Nick Abuyuan with 13 assists and 100% serving, Joe Ely with 12 digs, and Lawrence Corbett with 4 blocks. Congratulations on Ohio West Region honors for Clay DeVilbiss, 1st team, and Joe Ely, honorable mention.

ALTERNATE TRANSPORTATION FORMS 2019-20: If you already know your child's transportation plans for next school year, please go ahead and return an Alternate Transportation Form to your child's school. If your child is NOT riding the bus to or from your home address, this form must be submitted each year before July 15. Please ask your child's bus driver for a copy of the Alternate Transportation Form, or download the form here.
SUMMER SCHOOL PARENTS: Make sure all your health related paperwork is turned in to the school nurse by 5/29/19. If your student needs to have medications available for their health condition, health care plans must be on file for summer school. If you have questions please contact School Nurse at gayle.couch@centerville.k12.oh.us
SENIOR PARENTS: All school fees and outstanding cafeteria fees need to be paid in full to participate in graduation ceremonies and to receive a diploma. After Friday, May 10th only credit cards, cashier's checks, money orders or cash will be accepted NO personal checks. Call 439-3572 for questions and credit card transactions.
MEDICAL NOTIFICATIONS Message from your School Nurse: Time to pick up medications from the clinic. If your student has medication in the clinic please pick up remaining medications. All orders for medications expire last day of school. Any medication remaining in the clinic will be discarded June 7, 2019. Medications can be picked up from the clinic 7:40 to 3:10 on remaining school days. Starting June 3, 2019 medication can be picked up with the assistance of Central Unit office staff 8:00 AM-3:00 PM

PTO OPENINGS & NEXT MEETING: The CHS PTO is looking to fill a few vacancies for the 2019-2020 school year. The PTO Secretary position is available, as well as a few committee chairperson positions (Membership, Elk Pride, College & Career Fair, Teacher Appreciation, etc.). PTO is a great group of people who are committed to promoting the betterment of the Centerville community through service and educational events directed toward parents, teachers and students, in the home, school and community. We aim to promote the welfare of our students, enhance the learning environment and encourage parent and public involvement. The CHS PTO meets once per month.
