COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES Centerville Noon Optimist Fishing Derby - June 1 [Ages 5-15] The Centerville Noon Optimist will hold their 40th annual fishing derby at Washington Township Rec Center on 725. We will release around 400 lbs. of catfish in 2 ponds. Open to children 5 through 15 accompanied by a responsible adult. Prizes, bait and food will be provided. More information
National Museum of the U.S. Air Force to Form Rocketry Team [Grades 6-12] The National Museum of the USAF will sponsor a team of students for the 2020 Team America Rocketry Challenge (TARC), the world's largest student rocket contest and a key piece of the aerospace and defense industry's strategy to build a stronger U.S. workforce in STEM. This will be a major commitment in terms of the student's time and energy. Meetings will be held mostly at the museum (near Dayton) and could include a trip to Virginia should the team place in finals. If you are interested in joining the museum's team, please complete an application form. Selections will be made by June 15.
RTA Summer Passport [Grades 9-12] Area teens can ride RTA all summer long for only $55 using the RTA Summer Passport. This pass gives them unlimited rides between June 1 and Aug. 31.
