Welcome to Student Nutrition Services!

Good nutrition and learning go hand in hand.

The Student Nutrition Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.

Allergy Information

For those students with food allergies, we cannot guarantee our food does not contain potential allergens not listed on food labels. While we do our very best to check ingredient statements, product formulations do change. Please call if your student has life threatening allergies and is eating school lunch. For those with peanut and tree nut allergies, we do not process peanut products in any of our kitchens. The peanut butter and jelly Uncrustables on the menu come in fully packaged, so cross contamination should not be an issue. The granola we use in the yogurt & granola daily choice does not have peanuts or tree nuts listed in the ingredient label. However, please be aware that the manufacturer's label does indicate "Granola may contain peanut, almond & pecan ingredients!" This is due to possible cross-contamination during the processing of the granola. Any product that contains pork or a pork derivative is listed in the allergen information on our interactive menus.

To ensure that no student has an allergic reaction, it is imperative that an allergy form be filled out prior to the start of the school year and given to your student’s school nurse. Student Nutrition Services works with each school’s nursing staff to get all student’s allergy information. This information is inputted in our computer system and the students are flagged in the system so that we can ensure no student goes through the meal lines with a food item that can negatively affect their allergy.
