Seniors in Environmental Science receive certification as Hazardous Waste Operations Technician Level

Seniors in Centerville High School's Environmental Science career education program are finishing their Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training this week. Students will receive a certification as a Hazardous Waste Operations Technician Level after completing the course, which is based on OSHA standards and deals specifically with the control and containment of hazardous waste releases.

Environmental Science is part of the Career Education Program, which is a collaborative effort between Centerville, Kettering and Oakwood High Schools that offers 17 distinct programs for juniors and seniors.
