Did you know we have 256 English learners enrolled in Centerville Schools this year, and their families speak at least 45 languages?

English learners in each of our middle schools participate in a daily English Learner Class to engage with lessons developed under Ohio's English language proficiency standards.

Last week, these middle schoolers toured Carillon Historical Park. They studied famous Dayton inventions to help them create their own inventions! This field trip launched their persuasive writing unit. During this learning unit, students will design an invention that solves a real-world problem. They'll create a video elevator pitch where they persuade the "Sharks" (teachers and administrators) to invest in their product.
