Centerville City Schools sponsored five teams who participated in the Destination ImagiNation Global Finals this past week. Centerville had two combined middle school teams and three teams from Centerville High School that competed. Their presentations were appraised and scores were tabulated for awarded medals and trophies. Congratulations to the following teams!
In the secondary level Scientific “Top Secret” Challenge, the CHS team placed third. Team members included Preeti Balachandran, Joshua Durst, Rebecca Gruenberg, Lindsey Halasz, Taha Khanzada, Kevin Oxrider and Patrick Oxrider, and the team was managed by Dee and Warren Gordon.
In the secondary level Fine Arts “Vanished!” Challenge, the CHS team placed 26th. Team members included Emily Beyerle, Josephine Durst, Madeline Gruenberg, Sanah Kular, Gargi Rajput, Abigail Torres and Jack Trout, and the team was managed by Laura and Jose Torres.
In the middle level Fine Arts “Vanished!” Challenge, the middle school team placed 25th. Team members included Isha Atiq, Jayden Balwally, Griffin Burkle, Kyndall Coker, Ethan Trout and Shayden Verma, and the team was managed by Asfeeya Khan and Doug Trout.
In the secondary level Improv “3-Peat” Challenge, the CHS team placed 25th. Team members included Isabel Asher, Sophia Hamant, Kay’la Owens, Amisha Saini and Ami Schulte, and the team was managed by Dana Hamant and Carla Schulte.
In the middle level Service Learning “Ready, Willing & Fable” Challenge, the middle school team placed 29th. Team members included Noah Borghetti, Emma Heffner, Menisha Manjari, Emma Nassmacher, Lauren Nassmacher, Prateek Raju and Inalem Sciabica, and the team was managed by Laurie Sciabica and Kim Nassmacher.
