Board of Education seeking student representative

Attention CHS sophomores and juniors: The Centerville Board of Education is adding a Student Representative to the school board for the 2017-2018 school year. The opinions and concerns of the students within our district are important to the Board, and this is a great opportunity to be a liaison for your student body. The Student Representative will serve in a non-voting capacity but will be an asset to the Board as a connection to our students. A Board member will serve as mentor for the Student Representative during their term (one school year with the term beginning this June through May 2018).

Requirements are a minimum GPA of 2.75, a junior/senior in 2017-18 and able to attend meetings and commit to a few hours a month. This is a brand new role, and we are excited to welcome a student into this position! There will be a formal application/interview process, and you can download the packet/forms here. If you have questions, please contact Board member Annie Self (selfca@AOL.com).
