The school calendar was updated last spring after coordination with administration and teaching staff. This change was made for a number of reasons, including the increasing demands on staff with regard to student data, assessments and other State and Federal mandates.
We appreciate that the change requires planning from parents, families and local daycare providers and made an effort to communicate broadly and as far in advance as possible to make the transition easier for all. Notification was sent to parents in April and an updated calendar was then published on the district website and Facebook page.Student Enrollment CenterCenterville Schools has a Student Enrollment Center, allowing families to register all their school-age children at a single location, located in the District Board of Education Office at 111 Virginia Ave.
First, a parent/guardian should call (937) 433-8841 to set an appointment; and then stop by any Centerville school or use the necessary forms and paperwork. All paperwork is then taken to the Enrollment Center.
Besides the necessary forms, you will also need to bring the following to registration: official birth certificate or passport, copy of current immunizations, proof of residency (lease agreement, mortgage papers, property tax bill or copy of deed), custody or shared parenting papers if applicable (official court document) and a copy of your driver’s license. You do not need to bring your child with you to registration. We look forward to working with your family!
The mission of Centerville City Schools, a community of learners, is to provide diverse educational opportunities that develop the skills, attitudes, knowledge and ethics needed to reach individual potential and create a foundation for lifelong learning.
