Calamity Days

Currently the District has used seven calamity days, putting us two days over the five days provided by the Ohio Revised Code. In mid-March Both the Ohio House of Representatives and the Ohio Senate approved Amended Substitute House Bill 416. Their decision requires us to make up these two days. Therefore we will have a regular day of student instruction on Friday, May 2, previously indicated as a non-instructional day, and conduct our last day of school on Friday, May 30.

CLINE ELEMENTARY HONORS ARMED FORCES VETERANS

CLINE ELEMENTARY HONORS ARMED FORCES VETERANS

Cline Elementary’s Grandparents/Veteran’s Assembly was enjoyed by an auditorium filled with parents and grandparents who are either veterans or currently serving in the US Armed Forces. Under the direction of music teacher Bill Burns, each of the 2-5 grade levels sang service theme songs, while firefighter Terry Trepanier concluded the program with remarks about his experience leading Woody, his search and rescue dog, into Ground Zero ten years ago. Between student songs the audience was entertained by musicians whoa are friends of Mr. Burns: former CHS band director Wayne Markworth; Magsig Band Director Tom Pompei; and Pete Rousch and Ron Meyer from the Tom Daugherty Orchestra.
