John Hole students were both entertained and informed about the technology used by weather forecasters and how weather affects everyday life on earth thanks to a visit from the Columbus “Center of Science and Industry” (COSI on Wheels) program. With the help of parent volunteers and COSI's "meteorologist-in-training," students tested their forecasting skills, explored meteorological instruments, and discovered why it's important to monitor extreme weather events. Pictured is the COSI presenter showing the students what happens when a warm aluminum can filled with soda pop is suddenly dropped into a bowl of cool water.
