After a fantastic competition in the finals of the school-level spelling bee, 6th grader Leighton Heiner in Mrs. Bertrams’ ELA class came out on top. She will now advance to the district competition taking place this Wednesday, Janaury 28th at Magsig Middle School. WATTS GIRLS’ ENSEMBLE ENTERTAINS RESIDENTS AT LOCAL SENIOR LIVING CENTER

The Watts’ Girls' Ensemble, under the direction of vocal music teacher Katie Wortham, joined the Watts Jazz Band under the direction of instrumental teacher Sheila Reynolds, on their “2014 Holiday Tour” that included visits to both Primary Schools and also Laurelwood Senior Living Center near the Dayton Mall. The girls’ ensemble sang “Elf Medley,” “Carol of the Bells, ” and Baby It’s Cold Outside.” Read More
