The Treasurer reports directly to the Board of Education. The Treasurer serves as the secretary to the Board of Education and is responsible for all records produced by and received by his office. The Treasurer is the chief fiscal officer of the Board of Education, the chief accountant, chief payroll officer, chief auditor and chief investment officer. The Treasurer also serves as the quasi-legal advisor to the board on matters falling under his jurisdiction. The Treasurer files monthly reports with the Board of Education on all fiscal matters.

Additionally, the Treasurer works closely with the Superintendent and his staff in preparation of the annual appropriation resolution, is a member of the negotiating team and the budget team, and works closely with the Assistant Superintendent/Director of Business Operations in the procurement of liability, property and fleet insurance. The Treasurer also works closely with the Human Resources Director in the procurement of health, dental and life insurance for district personnel. The Treasurer may be appointed to serve on various committees as requested by the Superintendent and Board of Education.

 





2010-2011 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report
We are pleased to present the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) of the Centerville City School District for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2011. This report represents the commitment of the District to adhere to nationally recognized standards of excellence in financial reporting and contains audited financial statements, supplemental statements and other financial and statistical information to provide complete and full disclosure of all material financial aspects of the District. 
 

2011-2012 Financial Forecast and Assumptions
This financial forecast and significant assumptions are required by Ohio Revised Code Section 5705.391 to provide a method for the Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Auditor of State to identify school districts that may be facing financial difficulty over the next five years. This financial forecast includes three years of historical data and five years of projected data in the district's General Fund. The current fiscal year is the first year of projected data. This financial forecast represents the information available and known at this time. Changes will inevitably occur throughout the next five years that this document covers.
