Stingley Fifth Graders who participate in Alpha Club spent an afternoon making blankets for residents at Bethany Lutheran Village. With the help of many parent volunteers, the students measured, cut and tied the fleece blankets. This is a great opportunity for our students to learn how to be of service in our community! Starting and Ending Times for Students Alpha Club Makes Blankets for BethanyMonday, February 6, 2012STINGLEY ELEMENTARY SUPPORTS “GIRLS ON THE RUN”Thursday, January 12, 2012On Saturday November 19th, the fall season of Girls on the Run concluded with a 5K run at Welcome Stadium with 15 girls from Stingley, along with girls from 14 area elementary schools participating. Two Stingley girls finished first and second, 4th graders Kayla Jones and Emma Stanley, respectively. Girls on the Run – Dayton is a council of Girls on the Run International, founded in 1996 by Molly Barker, a visionary Ironman triathlete. Our other PTO expenditures this year include: Read More STINGLEY’S ALPHA CLUB SPONSORS ANNUAL ANGEL GIVING TREEWednesday, December 14, 2011After receiving permission from parents, Stingley Elementary students were encouraged to select an angel from the tree in their school’s front lobby that represented a child in need of clothing or toys for the holiday. On the back of each angel was a “wish list” written by that particular child. Flanking the Angel Tree are several of the Holiday Aid food barrels filled by Stingley staff and students.
