The Parent Mentor of Centerville/Oakwood is a Parent of a child with a disability. The mentor is employed by a district to provide training, support and information to families of students with disabilities. By providing these skills, we hope to enhance communication between families and the schools. Please contact me with any questions you have about your child.

Wright State University's Starting Wright Program is now accepting applications for the Summer 2012 Diverse-Ability U.  This is an annual FREE residential summer camp that gives High School juniors and seniors with disabilities a chance to see what college campus living is like.  They will also be introduced to Ohio's STEM Ability Alliance (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).  The application deadline for Diverse-Ability U is May 11, 2012.  See the Diverse-Ability U. 2012 Application in the downloads section.  For more information on the Ohio's STEM Alliance see the OSSA Flyer 2012, also under downloads.
