Kindergarten Registration

 

Kindergarten Registration will soon be underway for prospective kindergartners for the 2014-15 school year. If your child will turn five before September 30, 2014, we invite you to register your child at either:

Primary Village North, 6450 Marshall Road
or
Primary Village South, 8388 Paragon Road.

To verify which school your child will attend (and where you should register), feel free to call our transportation office at 885-7776 or PVN at 438-6062 or PVS at 312-1273. Registration will be held: March 4th: 12-7 p.m. and March 5th: 8:30-10:30 a.m. and 3:00-6:00 p.m. Please stop by your child’s school office to pick up a registration packet or download the necessary forms on the PVS or PVN website.

Dear Parents - (required medical immunizations explanation)
School Health Examination Record  

Besides the necessary forms, you will also need to bring the following to registration: official birth certificate or passport, copy of current immunizations, proof of residency (lease agreement, mortgage papers, property tax bill or copy of deed), custody or shared parenting papers if applicable (official court document) and a copy of your driver’s license. You do not need to bring your child with you to registration. Also, please bring your calendar so that you can sign your child up for kindergarten screening later this spring. SHADOW DANCING A PART OF PVS PHYSICAL EDUCATION PROGRAM

PVS first graders performed “Rain Dancing in the Shadows” after practicing for six weeks during their physical education class. Shadow dancing is a form of expressive dance which combines physical activity, social interaction, and mental stimulation requiring students to practice balance, confidence, and expressive skills. PVS DONATES TO THE THIRST PROJECT

PVS first graders Addisen Foudray and Jayden Theiss presented a check for over $1,100 to Sara Boutine (r), a representative from the Thirst Project, to help culminate their school’s Peace Project this year. Guidance Counselor Lauren Bizzarro (l) coordinated the year-long effort to help PVS students learn about the lack of clean water in many places in our world. Read More

Centerville City Schools presents the annual KidsView art exhibit to celebrate Youth Art Month in March.  The exhibit features selected works from K-8 students. The show is located at the Centerville High School Performing Arts Center and is open the following times:  March 10-21 (school hours) with additional hours March 10-12/March 17-19 from 5:00-7:00. PVS JOINS WITH THE THIRST PROJECT TO BRING FRESH WATER TO CHILDREN

PVS first graders Olivia Voss (left) and Janelle Wornyo are placing their donations into a replica of a well, reminding them their school’s Peace Project this year includes learning about the lack of clean water in many places in our world. Students are collecting donations to help build a freshwater well in a country where children do not have access to clean drinking water. The money will be given to representatives from The Thirst Project at a Peace Rally at PVS in March. Read More

Star Lab from Boonshoft Museum

Our Kindergarten and First Grade students are getting a unique opportunity to visit the StarLab, a portable planetarium from the Boonshoft Museum that was set up in our school's Gymnaium.  Through this planetarium on wheels, students are seeing constellations and learning the basics about astronomy.  A big thank you to boonshoft and each of our parent volunteers for making this experience possible! PVS STUDENTS ENTERTAIN AND EDUCATE GRANDPARENTS

Kindergarten and first grade students in the PVS Green Neighborhood are singing to their grandparents as the opening to another “Grandparent’s Day” in each of the K-1 school’s neighborhoods this week.
