Norman D. Bear Collection

Monday, March 21, 2016
Norman D. Bear Collection Way back in 1989, Debbie Russell, a former Normandy teacher, wrote a grant with the purpose of broadening cooperation between the community and the school. That started the NORMAN D. BEAR idea. The project had a direct benefit to students because it taught and demonstrated the value of caring and sharing with others. Children in the community benefited because the bears were donated to law enforcement officers to give to children involved in a stressful situation. In an effort to continue this great community service project, our Alpha Club is collecting NEW Teddy Bears this week. All the bears will be donated to local 1st responders so they can comfort children who may be involved in an emergency situation. Please help us by sending in a new bear, 12 inches or smaller, so we can support our Centerville and Washington Township 1st responders. Read More
