These ten Driscoll students emerged from all Driscoll 4th and 5th graders as finalists in the school’s National Geographic Bee Contest, with 3rd place going to Aaron Varner, 2nd place to Emily Dicks, and 1st place to JP Siegwarth. The goal of the competition is to build awareness and passion for the study of our world, its people, culture, places and events. Starting and Ending Times for Students DRISCOLL STUDENTS COMPETE IN NATIONAL GEO BEE CONTESTTuesday, January 10, 2012DRISCOLL 2ND GRADERS PERFORM “SEUSSSICAL, JR.”Thursday, October 27, 2011A large crowd of parents along with all of Driscoll’s students and staff are enjoying Driscoll 2nd graders singing “Green Eggs and Ham” while displaying their hand-made props consisting of green eggs and ham drawn on paper plates. According to Music teacher Debbie Whitlock, “all of the songs are from an abridged version of the musical “Seussical, Jr.," with lyrics based on books by Dr. Seuss. Other favorites performed by the 2nd graders included “Horton Hears a Who,” and “McElligot’s Pool.” Read More

A group of fourth graders submitted a proposal to PTO to purchase 200 bulbs to spruce up our corner garden. On Friday the fourth graders with the help of Mrs.Spyrou, Mrs. McCray, and Mrs. Turner planted bulbs during lunch and recess. We look forward to this lovely addition in the spring.
